Our definition of socially responsible business refers to
a variety of business activities. Basically they are focused on
humanizing the work place, environmentally sound business practices,
respecting human rights, community involvement and conversion of
the war making segment of our economy to peace building.
In 1992 BWA helped organize Business Partnership for Peace
in the San Francisco Bay Area. This group eventually merged
with Business for Social Responsibility.
